Singapore - A place I dont wanna be

With the recent rage about getting CPF only after 85, I guessed I wont be staying in Singapore afterall. How the government expects everyone to live past 85 is still a mystery. So what if I live past 85, how many years do I have left? They just cannot simply get someone (L**) as reference -.-ll

Well, while that is still creating a scene, Electric Bills will be going up 4%. SP services blamed it on the recent increment of oil prices.

Travellings on buses will be more expensive with Oct's increment of 1 to 2 cents per ride. Let's see what SMRT has said:

SMRT continues to face cost pressure in spite of efforts to manage cost and improve productivity. Electricity cost has increased by 26.3 per cent from $31.5 million in FY 2006 to $39.8 million in FY 2007. Cost pressures posed by the sustained high price of diesel is further compounded by a 3.8 per cent increase in the cost of diesel for SMRT Buses, from $34.2 million in FY 2006 to $35.5 million in FY 2007. The increase in the Goods and Services Tax by two percentage points as well as the 1.5 percentage-point increase in employers' CPF contribution alone will negatively impact SMRT's annual earnings by an estimated $11 million.

And to think they posted S$31.6M net profit for the second quarter FY2007. Idi**s

A recent report has said that a lack of sleep (5 hours a day) will cause obesity and eventually we will die earlier (1.7times higher chance as compared to those who slept 8hours a day). So it's something like... Not enough sleep --> Grow Fat --> Die -.-'' What a cruel cycle... Sigh...Somehow, CPF seems more farfetch.
