I baked a cheesecake tonight. My first attempt and the cake is in the fridge setting at this very moment. Nuff said, it was a failed attempt.. due to my own stupidity....
I thot initially, it was a mistake in the recipe when they asked me to melt 160g of butter into the crushed biskits.... I thot 160g is TOOO much since the slab of butter I have was 'only 50g'...
Being the only '50g' of butter I have, I melted in the whole slab into the biskits, resulting in a super moist and super buttery crust... which failed to set even after baking...($@%#^$ and I even have to clean the oven and sink cos the excess oil that seeps out OILED them...)
But it turned out. I was wrong.. the butter is actually 250g!! I have 'efficiently' melted in 250g of butter... No wonder... sighh.. But but but... sighh.. no more excuses, Donald.. although I know it is hard to believe that the 50g indicated on the wrapping is actually an indicative marker.... (See diagram) whereas the actual weight is at the top right corner... SOOOOO STUPID ME!!!
Sianz.. Now I am left with a super moist crust below a 'not too bad' top trying to set in the fridge... I will do another one soon... AND I WILL GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME ROUND.
Anyway, more updates about myself. I went to Hahndorf today. For the first time!! Finally after almost a year in Adelaide ;) Pics will be uploaded in another entry.
My friend, B msned me the other day. No 'how are you', No 'How's life in Aust', but just asking me some questions. This is so typical of a 无事不登三宝殿.. I am not whining or anything la. Just saying what's on my mind. Maybe Leilei's correct. We have drifted apart...
