China: I'm a glutton (II) 中国之我是贪吃鬼 (二)

2nd post on food, includes more food. Haha. As usual, I'm bad at taking pictures, so don't complain that the food don't appeals. Hehe..

First Brekky in China at a Suzhou hotel. Kinda the best breakfast I had in China (besides the McDonald's). PS.. O misses the Egg fried rice there ;p

Left to right: Dumplets (Little dumplings), Fried Sweet Potato Pastry, 饺子 Steam Dumpling(?)

The best meal I had in China. The layout and turnout of the food looks horrible, but they tasted great. All except the nua nua (soggy) smelly toufu (臭豆腐.)
Left to right: Top: Braised Pork 梅菜扣肉, egg 蛋, boneful fish 多骨鱼 (I gave it that name cos the fish really has ALOT of bones); Bottom: mutton 山羊肉, smelly toufu 臭豆腐

Most of the food are salty and oily. But those shown here are just nice, catered specially for Singaporeans, who always complain too oily and too salty, yet the high cholesterol, diabetic, high pressure rate are among the highest in the whole. Irony.

Anyway. Just realised that dumplings can mean a lot. 粽子,水饺, 饺子,汤圆 are all dumplings. No wonder english translations of Chinese dishes are funny. Very funny sometimes.
