Had a private meeting in a hotel the past weekend. Haha, since it's private, I shant give names of people involved and what we did there.
But what I can say, is that Grand Copthorne Waterfront was disappointing. All of us agreed that it was overrated. Rooms were small, no wireless, not many TV channels and a bathroom without a bath-tub. To think I was anticipating using it and brought my babybath along -.-ll. The only plus thing was that the security was very tight. Imagine we had to scan card to get to individual levels (Level 4 onwards) every time and even the main glassdoor when we got back at around 1am. Maybe that's the pro/(con?) of having the hotel next to one of Singapore's hottest spot, Zouk.
Great World City was just a walk away. Havent been to that complex for ages. Nothing changed much and it's still as sucky. Dinner was at Sudanese House where food was nice, but kinda overpriced. We easily racked up a >$100 bill. After a long chatting session while enjoying the dessert buffet that accompanies the meal, we headed down to the arcade, where rides were damn expensive. We ended our session with a show at GV.
Don't watch Vacancy! Although it promised few exciting and frightening moments (the usual baddy-pop-up-from-nowhere scenes), it was still a low budget B rated film. Nothing much about the show. The main enjoyment was to see the only actress, Kate Beckingsale, running around like a frantic old hag, who was so lucky to escape death, who did nothing much, yet managed to kill all 3 baddies. Oops.. I almost forget she was a Vampire/ Death Dealer in Underworld.
