Went to watch Disturbia yesterday with Ruru. Casted by one of the hottest male actors at the moment, I was expecting something more. Shia LaBeouf acted as a depressed teen placed under house arrest who thinks he witnesses a murder while spying on his suspicious neighbor, believing he is a murderer. First half of the movie was just pure boring. I dozed off twice and hello.... It has been ages since I last dozed off watching a movie (Matrix III was the last). The more exciting second half where all the chases started failed to install fear into the major crowd with its usual popups-at-the-corners thingy. The plot was kinda expected with the bad guy getting killed in the end. They almost always do, dont they?
Something I just dont understand about these shows. The major baddie always does try to kill the main protagonist, but tends to talk to them first and giving them chances to run. Are they pure lonely or bored or just blardy talkative?? In addition, all the slashes waived at the protagonist never kill them and ultimately, baddie will get killed instead (more humiliating, sometimes by their own weapon!!). It just make the rest of those getting killed (supporting casts) look dumb. Overall, not a nice movie to watch, unless you have too much cash and too much time.
By the way, I got my chopsticks ^^. They come in 3 colours. It's distribution time :) 改变自己, 改变世界 (Change yourself, Change the world).
