Dear Mum
I'm sitting down here, after my gyming, thinking when was the last time I said I love you and hugged you. It seems such a long while ago. Ya.. quite long ago.
Remembering my younger days when you put me into the washing machine (not switched on!!) while you are doing houseworks, the days when you carrying me to the opposite Mamah Shop to get my favourite candies, the days when you brought me to your school while you are studying, the days when you brought me around to work... Those were the days where we were still staying with Grandpa, where you have to maintain the wellness of the double-storey house, work for Grandpa and take care of me. Dad isn't that sensible to help out during that time. Afterall, you were only 19 and Dad's 21 when you had me.
Finally, you decided to move out and live on ourselves. Times were bad and we moved a few times before getting a house of our own. By then, Vian and Yan are out oredi. I was 7?? Refusing to get any money from grandparents, you guys saved and spent thrifty to better our lives, to send us to school, to get the best for us and everything. I can't say much to show my appreciation.
Things never really gotten better after Grandma died. Dad's family just deteriorated. This is often the case for rich families. Lucky for us, Grandpa did pass to us some money and that sum of money was able to see me through my studies. And lucky for Grandpa too, at least I used his money for a better cause than for that money to be swindled by the ones that cannot be named. What more can she asked for after getting a condominium in a China city area and many other more which we dunno. Did I mention that my grandma's whole sets of jewellery went missing? In additional, how bout the ones that managed to hold on to the jewellery shop?
Mum, I really love you, despite the frequents arguments and shouting backs. But, you are just too naggy and getting on my nerves sometimes. I dont really mean it and many a time, I regretted after I retaliated.
The current situation has once again given us a new problem. Yan and Vian have to study University at the same time. This is why Government encourages family planning -.-ll Mum, you just have to forgo your many many travelling trips this year. That will just be good enough. Hehe.
After all this years, you are finally becoming a typical traditional mother and started asking me when am I getting a girlfriend. All those pressures your friends have given you, I believe made you follow that route. But Mum, I dont wanna get a girlfriend and form a family. I still got a lot of plans ahead and without a girl by my side might just be the best choice. Maybe I have phobia in forming a family bah. Afterall, things arent that good between you and Dad (sometimes). Stories about broken family aren't that encouraging either.
I have grown up, Mum. I know what is good and what is bad and I am able to differentiate correct from wrong. I know what is best. Sometimes, you just have to let my heart decide.
Finally, I wanna ensure you, Mum, that I love you a lot. Same goes to Dad. I dont wanna a broken family, not at the moment, not in the near future and never ever. And be ensured that you will never be alone when you aged. I believe, this is the best I can do.
