This is so gonna be a long long entry, so before anything else, I'm issuing my BOREDOM ALERT!!! Was typing in point form, but realised that paragraphs seem to suit me better..
Another year is ending and a new year is coming. 2007 has been an eventful year where a lot of FIRSTs happened, good and bad :) Let me break them down into categories instead :)
Friends: A year where I am exposed to more friends due to networking. I started to realise the true fact that I am getting old. You may wonder what does old got to do with friends, but apparently, I dunno why, it's kinda harder to get friends when you are old. Hehe... I began to know my best friends better and subsequently, I suppose they know me better now? I used to think that all people that came across me are friends, until this year, I realised, there are such things as colleagues, acquaintances and most importantly best of friends. I still treat everyone else as normal friends though :) A year where the integrity of my friends started deteriorating and I am still spending a lot of time to mend the friendship. Between the normal group and Ray and mine :(
Money: It's good that I am finally starting to earn my own money and the little increment in April due to wages adjustments really helped in a way or another :) I began my first self-sponsored trip to China with my dear friends :) Also, I applied a lot of credit cards, aka discount cards. On the bad side, due to my own stupidity, I was cheated (?? willingly??) for a large sum of money.. SHHHhhh... Earning more money means spending more as well. I splurged too much on my self-indulgence, especially food!!! WOOOO
Family: There's high and low in every relationship. This year, we saw high tides especially when my sister was admitted to NUS and when she decided to move out of the house to hostel. But eventually, we reached compromises :) The year where I see less quarrels amongst the family members, which is good, but does that meant we are together less often? Sigh. The year where the family only son started working and earning money and finally started to give parents money :)P Most importantly, I bought a lot of gifts for all my beloved family members :) Oh.. And did I forget to mention that we went for a family trip to Taiwan?
Work: Stepped into the second year of my work. Things arent going well, but I am still able to cope :)
Private Life: I began to exercise more frequently and my first ever regular visits to the gym. But it all seem that I do get thinner, without all those skipping of meals and visits to gym -.-ll Well... Finally fulfilled my wish to cycle in Pulau Ubin, although the whole experience weren't that pleasant. I started to groom myself better, ermm, at least, I hope to think that I am doing better. Also, I started blogging. It will be 10months tomolo. I never would have thought that I could persevere till now.
Wow... thinking back is really tough, especially for someone with Short Term Memory like me, so if there's something else I did not mention, well.. like that loh.. what can you do, right? Hehe..
Finally, I would like to thank the following persons.
Mum, for her usual tolerance towards the short tempered me, for cleaning up after my messes, for the integrity of the family and for her non-stoppable naggings.
Angela, for enduring my endless nonsense (according to her, 90% of what I said are nonsensical, although I know, I can say that to her too ;p), for accompanying me through the boring hours at work (Yes, we communicate via emails, every day, every hour), for accompanying me during lunch times (Not eating, but shopping), for accompanying me when I needed someone the most (Really, I'm touched) and finally, for the time we spent together :)
Vian, for the providence of songs and dramas, for the snacks and suppers you bought home, for the stationary you have provided me (from your company), for the vouchers you got me for Christmas ($80!!!) and for everything else I cannot remember.
Yan, for ermm, the laughters you brought into the house? (Well, I am obliged to say her name or else she will shower me with sarcasm again.. haha, just kidding lah) Thanks for the facial products you bought for me, for the times where you offered to buy me dinner, for messing up my room and bringing the little ants into everywhere you go (her name rhymes with Ants!!), for showing us black faces and finally, for the same songs you have played and sang throughout the whole year. You will always be our little sister, though you are reaching the big 2 next year :)
Henry, for correcting my English and teaching me new vocabs, for teaching me how to play Magic, for the many lunch treats, for the time you have spent accompanying me while I shop (I'm very 'auntie' according to him), for the bag you got me for Christmas, for the many threats you have issued in order to prevent me from binging and going into bulimia, and for the etc etc etc you have done for me :)
Ray, for always being there for me, for accompanying me when I have no one else, for..... Sighh.. Suddenly wanna cry to know what we have been through the past year. We had more conflicts this year and I'm really sorry. Really really sorry :(
Muqi, Auntie and Bee, for being in my precious group, for the effort that you guys had put in to make the group a better one and for understanding me. The foundation is losing its grip and I do hope, we will reinforce it. We will work harder, wont we?
AuntieSharon, for her endless showers of gifts (the benefits of knowing an Aries)
Fiona, for enduring Stuphen with me, for tolerating him with me, for trying to capture what he said with me and for the jellybeans you have got me :)
And lastly, Stuphen. Although you are not someone I really like, but still, you are my supervisor (at least until I get a new job ;p)
Finally, thanks to lots of other people, including Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncles, Aunties, WeeChing, Daisy, Lailing, Elaine, TzeLoong, Sharon, Xiuhua, Calvin, YueLing, Mark, Wendy, Bernard, Cheong, WaiChee, Karin, Christine, Kento, Jazon, Avin, David, Adam, Kaka, Stephen, Ewan, Derek, Edwin, Ken, Brandon, Iris, Timothy, Kenneth, Melvin, Xavier, Chanel, WanTing, Justin, Alex, Zack, James, William, Alfred, WeeThong, KianLoon, Wilson, Manfred, Sharon, Calvin, Markie, Tecko, Koonie, Qu, ChingChing, Ryan, Nancy, June and people who visited my blog, and many many many more.
