Prior to the actual day, the staff actually called to confirm on my booking and asked if there's any special occasion for the dinner. I simply answered that it will be a birthday dinner. I didnt expect them to go the extra mile.
Finally reached the cafe a little earlier than our reserved time. The receptionist was very friendly. Beside tending to us and bringing us to our tables, she brought us around the whole restaurant and introduced each of the different sections. There's the dessert bar, the salad bar, the jap corner, the Indian sectionS and tandori corner to name a few. Was kinda excited over the so many selections.
Quality is of top priority in the restaurant. The food was delicious. As usual, I'm bad at giving reviews. I'm not like those people who can go blah blah blah. All I can do is to recommend what I think is nice. The must-try includes their sashimi (which literally melts), their lamb stew (I had never had a lamb so soft before) and of course, the desserts (Try the red wine jelly if you like. It's nice, trust me, although I dont really appreciate alcohols.). And not forgetting their cheese and chocolate fondue (yes, it's seperated) and their freshly baked cookies. Not that fantastic, but worth the try.
Almost at the end of the dinner (we were 99.9% full), they presented us a cake!! And the staff took a photo of us, which was printed and stuck on a pre-prepared card almost immediately. No need to say, we can't finished the cake and the manager gladly packed it up for us.
Overall, I would say the buffet is worth it, although it is a hefty $65++ from Suns till Thurs and $85++ (I think) on Fris and Sats. A group of 4 is more worth it cos with citibank promotion, 1 dines for free :) Remember though, DO NOT, I say again, DO NOT order their juice. It's $12 per cup and it is juiced from the fruit counter -.-ll
I will definitely go again, will you too?
Oh ya... Happy Birthday, Monkey. It's a bit late, but at least, it's here :)
PS: Melt's staff deserves our thumbs-up for their superb services!!
