Thanks

I have kicked started my very first day in SICS. Nothing much to do on the first day since my supervisors are all not around.

Still feeling a bit empty since my departure from BII. Not cos of the institute itself, but rather, the colleagues. Although I have sent them a goodbye mail, I would still like to extend my thanks here, ie, publish the mail I sent to them here. I must admit, that I am surprised to see replies from unexpected ppl :)

Below is the email. Long winded, but I think, it owned!
Dear All,

Today is my last day and being the emotional guy I am, saying goodbyes has always been difficult for me. It has really been nice working with all of you, though some of you might have "cursed" me especially for what I have planned during the Family Day.

Thanks Dr Vivek, for giving me the chance to work in your group. I must say I really learn a lot of things from Betty and Daisy.

Thanks Dr Kian Leong, for giving me a chance to work in your lab. It's a pity I couldn't though.

Thanks Christine and Chew Peng, for the support you guys have given. Not forgetting the days when Christine refilled the cartridges in the printer and Chew Peng walking around telling us there's FOOD!!

Thanks Noraini, for the many smiles and greetings I get everyday. And of course, the many times you opened the door when I forgotten my pass. Ermm, just forget the '50 cents' k?

Thanks Huihui, for enduring the many nonsensical questions I have bombarded her with.

Thanks Leong Poh, Kian Loon, Wilson and Wee Thong for the help and assistance given in establishing DISO (aka SCKB).

Thanks Betty, for the things I have learnt in the laboratory and giving me a chance to actually perform the techniques.

Thanks Lailing, for the birthday celebration and of course, the farewell lunch. Not forgetting the muffins too!

Thanks Raphael, for teaching me how to use simple programming. I still suck at it though.

Thanks Zach, for the lozenges. I dont really like fisherman's friend, but I do appreciate the thought. And I did pop a few. Hehe.

Thanks Winston, because I have been wearing your labcoats. (Oops, hope you don't mind!)

Not forgetting Felicia, Choon Khong, Soo Mei, Vachy, Wei Miao, Han Hao, Wai Heng, Winnie, Kelvin and Shamilla, who have helped me one way or another.

Of course, there are people who have left the company that I would like to thank. Dr Henry, Daisy, William, Mark and Alfred, especially have provided me with much guidance during my 2+ years here. Lastly, before I forget, I am still contactable via icygobi@gmail.com, so there's no excuse not to stay in contact ;)

Once again, thank you all and farewell!

Cheers
Donald
