今日我煮红豆汤

Red bean soup. One of the easiest things to cook with a rice cooker. Do you know that drinking red bean soup with dried longan is very 补? Especially recommended for people who has MC. I meant that 大姨妈.

Wash the beans. Pour enough beans into a cooker of water. Dont ask me what is enough. Just gauge.(I still do).  If it's too watery this time round, then add more beans next time! It's all about experience and feelings!

The other ingredients: Glutinous rice balls (optional), Rock sugar (better than white sugar) and Longan (soak beforehand. You can pour in the water).
All should be put in after the red bean boiled (at least 90mins) in this order - Longan, sugar and lastly the balls just 5-10mins before serve. I STRONGLY recommend stirring to dissolve the rock sugar as during this process, you will squash the beans making them taste a bit 沙沙 (I dunno how to describe ><) .

Tah Dang. After 90mins, this is the product.

PS. yi sing bu sing???? Red colour food ingestion to compensate for red colour fluid loss????

Haha... 以形补形? well.. i'm not very sure about that lah.. not all red colour compensate for that what... i think it's the 'heatiness' of the red bean and the longan that kinda aids in one way or another lah..

rice balls? haha... i dunno.. i just feel they blend well together.. like i never use the balls in green bean cos i think they dont go well... :)
